.223 Wylde gives you the option of running 223 Remington and 5.56 Nato cartridges. This is a difference in throat. It will handle the pressures of the Remington and Nato without any issues. It works for your Contender/G2/Encore platforms, 50 grain – 75 grain.
The Wylde is essentially a hybrid between the 223 Remington and the 5.560 NATO. You’re gaining the accuracy of a 223 but we add extra throat so you can accept the 556 Nato.
Its also compatible with the same cartridges most commonly found in AR-15’s so if you’ve been stocking up on that ammo you can use that on your TC Encore/Contenter 224 Wylde barrels.

- Any heavier than that you can go down to a 1:6.5 twist rate. An 80 grain is ideal for long range.
