Our muzzleloader breech plugs are designed and manufactured specifically for MGM muzzleloader barrels only. They are not intended for installation or use in barrels manufactured by other companies.

• Conventional 360° threaded design with 9/16″-24 threads and a maximum diameter of .625″. This design is optimized for both T/C Encore and Contender platforms.
• Tungsten carbide bushing comes standard. The tungsten carbide provides greatly improved wear resistance from heat and pressure, helping the .030″ flash hole—the optimal orifice size for BH209—maintain its size shot after shot.
• Precision manufactured to tight tolerances for interchangeability between plugs while maintaining consistent, precise headspace.
• Headspaced using Federal 209A primers, a proven standard for reliable and consistent black powder ignition.
• 45/70 conversions are possible with this breech plug. Before installation on G2 barrels, make sure existing scope-mount holes are not drilled too deep. MGM makes special accommodations for this plug installation on G2 barrels.
• Professional installation required. Always use a reputable gunsmith for installation. MGM will not install these plugs on existing barrels, regardless of manufacturer or condition.
• 100% billet machined, heat-treated, and black oxide finished in the USA.
