This is a great upgrade that will not only allow you to put a suppressor on (if you are lucky enough to live in a state that allows them) but also covers you if you’re in need of a muzzle brake. The T/C line has had a lot of changes over the years, but the models have stayed similar. New laws have passed bringing in new adaptations to the product line. How is a single shot anything tactical? With the relative ease of owning a suppressor in many states, it has changed the receivers into the perfect host for a non-tax stamp, compact, light-weight hunting machines.

The new shooters are coming partially from fear of losing their semi auto firearms, but more so because friends and family are giving them what’s referred to as the “bug”.

Understanding that the shorter set up isn’t for everyone, there are many options that fit the needs of all shooters. These pictures are of the Original Contender and the G2, but all options are available for the Encore.

Looking at these pictures you can see that there is about a 3” difference in OAL between the two. Both barrels were 16.25” and the OAL length of the shorter one comes in right at 28” OAL, making this a legal rifle set up. You are already using the shortest platform made, why not get the most out of it? With a total weight of 6lbs 2oz this is an ideal set up to pack around the mountains all day.
